I can’t for the life of me, make a good pot of coffee-EVER! Can anyone give me any hints or measurements to make it taste like Real Coffee. I use cold water, clean pot and try different measurements, but never the correct taste. Any suggetions would be appreciated. I have a drip coffee maker.

Mine always has abit of that bitterness.

I put some coffee grounds around the base of my Loquat tree a week or two back and now many of the leaves are turning yellow. This is the first spring the tree has been planted and many trees loose their leaves this time of year is South Florida.

I’m not sure if the season’s the reason or if maybe it was the coffee grounds. The coffee grounds were post perculated.

Every time I go to Jamaica I drink Blue Mountain Coffee and bring some home with me. I always bring the ground stuff home, follow the directions, and still can’t get it to taste like the restaurants. I’ve bought the brands that have that “certified” stamp that it’s authentic. So, what’s the secret? Is it that I have to use Jamaican water? If that’s the case…I’m screwed

This time I brought home ground and whole beans in hopes that maybe fresh ground beans are better.

I’ve tried several different coffee makers, Mellita, Proctor Silex, Hamilton Beach and some brands I can’t remember. I’ve bought all kinds of beans and pre ground coffee, tried tap and bottled water. I had a college room mate who made dynamite coffee and he cooked the beans first making a lot of smoke. I’d really like to know how he did that because he spoiled me. Everything else tastes like crap even (especially) Starbucks.
